Welcome to Community Cognitive, Wendi Pickerel’s organization and management services firm

I am a strategic program and organizational leader and an excellent cross-function and executive communicator. I have a track record of building local and global business initiatives and strategic stakeholder relationships aligned with corporate objectives.

Also a storyteller, systems thinker, and culture builder, I excel at spotting rhythm in a community’s chaos, discovering ground to build on where none existed, and weaving stakeholders with divergent priorities into a cross-functional vision.

My specialty is creating buy-in among leadership so an idea can take root and thrive. I have two decades of experience building, operationalizing, and leading stakeholder communities across global geographies, functions, and roles so they become engaged and aligned in that vision.

I have more than two decades of professional experience working globally in program and project implementation, collaborating with human resource professionals sourcing health and welfare benefits for global organizations’ employees, and as a result, vast exposure to health and welfare systems all over the world.

My Master of Communication Leadership, Communities and Networks (University Washington) is a professional communication strategy degree that emphasizes leadership in storytelling, building community, growing networks, engaging teams, and crafting organizational identity.

My B.A. degree is in Latin American and Environmental Studies (University Of Washington). In addition to working in a global setting for the past two decades, my undergraduate studies allowed me to live in Latin America while I worked in a community healthcare clinic.
